Course on Creative Writing

Tampereen kriittinen korkeakoulu järjestää luovan kirjoittamisen kurssin englanniksi keväällä 2019. Kurssille mahtuu 12 osallistujaa. Varaa paikkasi pian!

Are you interested in creative writing? And playing with the English language?Tampere Critical Academy offers a course on Creative Writing in the spring of 2019. The maximum number of participants is 12. Be quick to get your place!


Your English skills should be equivalent to Finnish high school English level (B2 in CEFR). The course does not focus on grammar.


Course description

On the Creative Writing in English course, you will have the opportunity to write your own creative texts (stories, poems, drama etc.) in English, get feedback from readers of your texts and give your feedback as a reader to other writers. There will be writing exercises to complete in the classroom in addition to more finished texts that you will post to other course participants to read. If you want, you can develop a text from a class writing exercise, or you can write on your own, different topic. You will have fun!

Teacher: Mike Horwood, PhD, creative writing teacher

Mike is an English language teacher and has been involved in creative writing most of his life. He has published two novels and two poetry collections. He is easy to work with and has an encouraging attitude towards his students.
